A further 74 workers at a liquidated oil refinery in North Lincolnshire will lose their jobs this week.

Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery went under in October 2025, when 124 roles also were axed.

100 employees have been offered roles with Phillips 66, which is buying the refinery.

A spokesperson for the Insolvency Service said: “The Official Receiver has retained 58 employees at the site to assist with its running until the sale to Phillips 66 is complete.

“As of 24 March 2026, 74 employees have been given notice of redundancy effective 31 March.

“The Official Receiver has retained staff following the liquidation of the companies to maintain safety at the site and to assist with the sales process.

“Without this intervention, all employees would have been left without a job, at no notice, at the point the company was wound up in June 2025.

“We thank all employees at the refinery for their understanding and patience during these difficult months.

“The sale of the refinery to Phillips 66 is due to be completed in April, as planned.”
