Man, 86, dies after car crashes into embankment on M180
An 86-year-old man was hospitalised after the crash on 23rd December 2025
An 86-year-old man has died following a collision where a car crashed into an embankment on the M180.
Officers were called to reports that a car had come off the carriageway on 23rd December.
Emergency services attended and the driver was taken to hospital.
He died yesterday (14th January) from serious injuries.
His family are being supported by specialist officers and have asked for privacy at this time.
Officers are still appealing for information.
Anyone who saw a white Mercedes on the M180 westbound between junction one and junction two at around 10.25am on the 23rd is being urged to contact the police by calling 101 quoting log 109 of 23 December.
