Man dies after car collision with pedestrians in Hull

A man has died following a car collision in Hull last night (Friday 7th March). Officers are appealing for information after a car collided with two pedestrians on Holderness Road in Hull at around 7.50pm yesterday evening.

It is reported that the driver of a grey BMW X5 was travelling eastbound on Holderness Road before colliding with a man and a woman crossing the road near to the junction of Clarence Street and Dansom Lane South.

Emergency services attended however a 63-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at this time.

A 48-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.
