82-year-old man dies after car crash on A16

Police are appealing for witnesses following the crash in North East Lincolnshire

An 82-year-old man has died following a single-car collision on the A16 near the Louth Road junction this afternoon, 21st November 2025.

Emergency services were called at around 1:10pm after a red Citroen, travelling towards the Louth Road roundabout, left the road and hit a lamp post.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, an 80-year-old woman, was treated for minor injuries.

The man’s family has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Officers are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage, or anyone who witnessed the collision but has not already come forward, to get in touch.
