Man arrested after vehicle stop in Hull

A man has been arrested, after officers from the Roads Policing Team stopped a vehicle in Hull yesterday evening (Thursday 16 January 2026).
At around 7pm, officers requested a vehicle travelling along Hessle Road to stop after it was suspected of being involved in criminal activity.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers reportedly found bags containing a white powder believed to be Class A drugs. A further search of the driver led to the discovery of additional bags of white powder and approximately £175 in cash, which were seized.
A 22-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug. He currently remains in police custody, while enquiries continue.
