Two people in Hull have been arrested in connection with human trafficking.

A 38-year-old man and 31-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of human trafficking offences, and fraud by false representation.

That's following a report that they falsified a child's birth certificate.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said they were alerted today (15th April): "We received a report that a man and woman were suspected to have falsified the birth certificate of a child allegedly for the purposes of committing human trafficking offences."

The man and woman are being questioned in police custody.
