Major delays on A63 in Hull following serious crash
It's causing chaos for drivers and university graduates
Drivers heading west out of Hull are facing major delays this morning after a serious crash closed the A63.
The westbound side of the road is shut between Drypool and Dairycoates after the collision, which happened shortly after 4am.
Police are carrying out investigation work at the scene, and National Highways say a diversion is in place.
Eastbound traffic is now moving again.
Anyone travelling west is being urged to follow the hollow triangle symbol on signs and allow extra time.
The crash has caused disruption for those trying to reach the University of Hull for graduation.
The university has pushed back its first ceremony of the day to 10.30am to allow people more time to arrive.
In a statement it said: "The latest time you can arrive at gowning in Princes Quay is 9:45am to be ready for a 10:30am ceremony start."
