Luke, said:
“I want to connect the dots. I want to use my platform to send positivity through this region, and they want something different. And I believe that Reform UK is the only party out there that's offering something different.
"You know what? I just have to thank now everyone that put their trust and supporting me. Everyone that voted for me, I promise you, I won't let you down. I'll do the best by people. I believe that there's a huge disconnection between the people and the councils."
Elsewhere in the Humber region, former Conservative minister Dame Andrea Jenkyns was elected for Reform UK as the first Greater Lincolnshire mayor with a majority of almost 40,000 over her former party.
Leader of the party Nigel Farage, said:
"It's been a big night for us.
"We've dug very deep into the Labour vote and, in other parts of England, we've dug deep into the Conservative vote, and we are now, after tonight there's no question, in most of the country, we are now the main opposition party to this Government."
