Humber Bridge closure after lorry fire

Emergency services are dealing with a lorry fire on the A15

A lorry fire has closed the A15 Humber Bridge in north Lincolnshire.

Humberside Police say no one has been hurt.

Emergency services were called to the northbound carriageway near Barton, at around 7.55am on Tuesday 31 March.

A Humberside Police spokesperson says: "Emergency services are currently in attendance on the A15 near Barton in North Lincolnshire following reports of a lorry on fire at around 7.55am this morning (Tuesday, 31 March 2026).

"Thankfully, no one has been injured as a result, and the A15 northbound carriage way of the Humber Bridge is currently closed to allow emergency services to work safely.

"Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes where possible.
