Ashley Aldridge, a 37-year-old from Cambridge Street, Hull, has been charged with shop theft and assault following an incident on Mount Pleasant.

The charges stem from events on Saturday, 25th June 2026, when Aldridge allegedly entered a retail store and took items without paying.

Reportedly, near the store entrance, he brandished a broken glass bottle, lunging at another individual while making threats.

Aldridge has been released on conditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Hull Magistrates Court on Friday, 11th September 2026.

The police are continuing their investigation and urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward.

Aldridge's court appearance will address the charges, and further legal proceedings will determine outcomes related to the offences.
