Teenager charged following serious assault in Hull

17-year-old faces various charges, including grievous bodily harm

A teenager has been charged in connection with a serious assault that occurred on De La Pole Avenue in Hull on Wednesday, (29th April).

The 17-year-old boy, whose identity is protected due to his age, faces multiple charges including grievous bodily harm, assault, three counts of assaulting an emergency worker, and criminal damage.

He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Hull Magistrates Court this morning, (1st May).

Humberside Police reported that the altercation took place at around 9.20pm, resulting in a 72-year-old man being seriously assaulted outside a property.

The elderly man sustained severe injuries and was transported to hospital, where he remains undergoing treatment.

The investigation continues as the legal process unfolds.
