Man in custody after stabbing in Hull
A 42-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment
A man has been arrested after officers were called to reports of a disturbance at a property on Broadley Close in Hull during the early hours of this morning (Saturday, 25 October).
It is reported at around 1am, a man gained entry to the property and allegedly threatened and stabbed another man, causing injuries to his arm.
A 42-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not thought to be life threatening at this time.
Detective Inspector Lloyd Sharkett said: “I understand an incident of this nature will cause concern amongst the local community, but I would like to offer my reassurance that we believe this to be an isolated incident between two people known to each other.
“I can confirm a 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody at this time.
“As part of our investigation, officers have carried out thorough searches of the area and recovered a knife believed to be connected to the incident.
“A scene guard remains in place to allow officers and Crime Scene Investigators to carry out their enquiries, and residents may notice an increased police presence in the area.
“If anyone witnessed the incident, has any information or concerns, we encourage you to speak to officers in the area."
