A secondary school in Hull has announced it has shut its doors to most pupils today (2 June) due to a water leak.

Sirius Academy North, in Hall Road, confirmed the leak had caused flooding, resulting in the schools closure for Year 7, 8 , 9 and 10.

It said the leak happened over the weekend and confirmed phone lines are down.

The school remains open for Year 11 students, "to prepare for their last run of exams".
