Humberside Police have shared an update in their search for Sam, a man reported missing in Hull on 6th November.

Chief Inspector Owen Stafford, who is leading the search, said the investigation has involved specialist teams including officers from Neighbourhood Policing, patrol units, and the Underwater Search Unit.

The last confirmed sighting of Sam was at around 12.10pm on 6th November along a path at Victoria Dock, Plimsoll Way.

Police have revealed new CCTV footage shows a figure entering the water approximately 50 metres from the last confirmed location.

The footage was captured at 12.19pm from a camera positioned 1km away.

Police say it is difficult to confirm the figure’s identity due to the distance, but they believe it is Sam based on thorough enquiries.

Chief Inspector Owen Stafford said:

“Our specialist teams have been engaged in the search for Sam over the last 12 days, conducting extensive lines of enquiry in an attempt to trace his movements and location.

"Following the new evidence, efforts remain ongoing with underwater teams continuing their search and officers working on leads provided by the public.

Sam's family have also shared a statement thanking supporters:

“Now the police update has been released we would just like to thank everyone again who helped us, sent us love and searched for our Sam.

"This is an extremely hard time for us all and we would appreciate time to grieve we have a long road ahead of us in the hope we can find Sam and lay him to rest."

The police are urging the public to share any information that might help in the search, especially the two individuals seen in a CCTV appeal earlier this week. Anyone with information can contact 101 quoting log 390 of 6th November.
