A Hull man has been jailed for 21 years after admitting to a series of sexual offences against three children, following a case heard at Hull Crown Court on 20th October 2025.

Alex Fullard, 31-years-old, of HMP Hull, pleaded guilty to 15 offences including five counts of raping a child under 13, three counts of rape, three attempted rapes of a child under 13, and multiple sexual assaults involving children.

As part of his sentence, Fullard will spend an additional eight years on licence, will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life, and is subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The offences came to light after two women reported to police in 2021 that Fullard had sexually abused them when they were children.

Although initial investigations halted after the women decided they were not ready to continue, the case was reopened in December 2023, when a third victim disclosed she also had been abused by Fullard.

Following his arrest, further evidence led detectives to reach out again to the original victims, resulting in Fullard admitting further offences.

Despite initially denying the new allegations, Fullard changed his plea to guilty at the start of his trial in July 2025 due to what police described as overwhelming evidence.

Detective Constable Jack Somers from the Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Unit, who led the investigation, said: “This has been an extremely extensive and intrusive investigation, and I admire the courageousness of the three victims and their families for taking that first step in coming forward to report the horrific crimes they were forced to live through at such a young age.

“Crimes of this nature are impermissible regardless of the age of the victims, but for Fullard to take advantage of innocent young children by raping them, sexually assaulting them and also abusing their trust in him is outright sickening.

“Whilst I know the sentence imposed upon Fullard will by no means take away the trauma inflicted on the three victims and their families, I hope that it provides some closure to the victims and gives them an opportunity to move forward.”

Humberside Police encourage anyone who has been a victim of sexual offences, or knows someone who has, to report it directly via the non-emergency number 101 or call 999 in an emergency.
