Hull 'dangerous duo' sentenced for grievous bodily harm
Scott Harrison jailed; Bethany Davis receives suspended sentence
Two individuals have been sentenced at Hull Crown Court for their roles in violent assaults that left a man and woman with serious head injuries in February.
Scott Harrison, 21, from Bridlington Avenue, Hull, pleaded guilty to Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, receiving a prison sentence of six years and three months.
Bethany Davis, 25, from Appleton Road, Hull, pleaded guilty to Section 20 grievous bodily harm without intent and received a suspended sentence of one year and six months.
The violent incidents occurred outside a property on Appleton Road, Hull, following an altercation involving weapons on 25th February this year.
Initially charged with attempted murder and possession of weapons, Harrison later pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of grievous bodily harm with intent, while Davis did so without intent, which was accepted by the Crown Prosecution Service.
Detective Constable Chloe Campbell-Hamilton from the Criminal Investigation Department led the investigation, emphasizing the severity of their actions and the ongoing impact on the victims.
“Harrison and Davis are a dangerous duo who attended the woman’s house armed with weapons intending to cause significant harm," DC Campbell-Hamilton said.
Despite admitting their actions, both must live with the consequences, leaving the victims with lasting physical and mental scars.
The police urge the public to report concerns about violence or other crimes, either directly or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
