A Grimsby man has been sentenced to six years in prison after police uncovered over £100,000 worth of class A and B drugs hidden under floorboards during a targeted operation.

Robert Kelk, 37, of Pasture Street in Grimsby, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A cocaine, class A heroin, and class B ketamine. He was sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court on 20th November 2025.

Detectives identified Kelk as a key figure in a criminal network suspected of distributing drugs across North East Lincolnshire. Investigations revealed Kelk was operating from a property on Dunmow Street, where street dealers relied on him to replenish their supply.

On 11th September 2025, officers located Kelk at the Dunmow Street address and arrested him in the hallway. During a search of the property, police discovered evidence of drug preparation, including scales and utensils with white residue. Hidden under the floorboards in an upstairs bedroom, officers found a padlocked rucksack containing bags of suspected cocaine and heroin.

Further forensic testing confirmed the seizure of 1.4kg of cocaine, 446g of heroin, and 1.25g of ketamine, with an overall value exceeding £100,000. Counterfeit cash and drug paraphernalia were also recovered from the property.

A simultaneous raid on Kelk’s home yielded additional quantities of drugs, weapons including a machete and baton, cash, mobile phones, and SIM cards linked to drug supply activities.

Detective Inspector Tom Kelly said: “Drug crime, and the misery it causes within our communities, will not be tolerated. We remain relentless in our commitment to disrupting those who seek to profit from harm and bring them before the courts.”

Kelk’s arrest and prosecution are part of ongoing efforts by police to dismantle organised crime in North East Lincolnshire. Officers have urged the public to continue reporting concerns to help them target criminal networks effectively.
