Public appeal to identify Grimsby fly-tipper caught on CCTV
Council seeks help after illegal dumping incident
North East Lincolnshire Council is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying an individual captured on CCTV engaging in fly-tipping on Patrick Street, Grimsby.
The footage shows a man wearing a black t-shirt and dark green shorts leaving a mattress against the railing by the underpass near Peaks Parkway on 22nd September at 8.45pm.
While investigations are ongoing, the council seeks further information from anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the person involved.
Fly-tipping, the illegal dumping of waste, poses significant risks to people, wildlife, and the environment. It also undermines legitimate waste businesses and costs the council tens of thousands of pounds annually for cleanup.
The council urges anyone who recognises the individual from the footage to contact them on 01472 326299 (Option 1) or email [email protected], quoting reference PR202610-56502.
Residents can assist in preventing fly-tipping by reporting instances online, ensuring waste carriers are registered, and using community recycling centres for disposal of large items.
