Hull man jailed for more than 18 years for sexually abusing young boys

A man from Hull has been jailed for more than 18 years after sexually abusing four young boys over a number of years.
Graham Stephenson, 55, of Nestor Grove, pleaded guilty to:
- two counts of inciting a boy to engage in sexual activity
- rape
- sexual activity with a child
- and making indecent photographs of a child
An investigation began after a man reported the abuse he had suffered as a child at the hands of Stephenson in February 2023.
Stephenson used money and manipulation tactics to sexually abuse the boy for around six years, starting when he was 10-years-old.
Police said further enquiries identified a second victim, who had been sexually abused by Stephenson for around nine-years, beginning when he was six-years-old.
Stephenson was arrested in July 2023.
A third man, known to the victims, also came forward with similar reports.
A fourth man who had been abused in 2004 was then identified by police.
Officers also found 45 devices at Stephenson's home, and over 500 illegal images.
Stephenson has been jailed for 18 years and four months and will be on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
Detective Constable Rebecca Davison, from Humberside Police’s Protecting Vulnerable People Unit, praised the four men for coming forward and said reports of sexual abuse against boys and men are “extremely underreported”.
She added: “Stephenson denied all allegations when interviewed and initially pleaded not guilty, only later changing his plea to guilty.
"The investigation showed a clear pattern of manipulation over many years, where he deliberately used influence and control to facilitate the abuse of these boys."
