Two boys and a man arrested after poaching reports in Goole

They attempted to evade officers

Two boys, aged 14 and 16, and a man have been arrested on suspicion of poaching and other offences in Goole.

Officers responded to reports of poaching on land near to the A161 just before Swinefleet on Monday morning (16th February).

Two vehicles were seen driving away and failed to stop for officers.

The pursuit for one of the cars, a silver Mercedes, came to a conclusion near Scunthorpe.

Three people allegedly ran from the vehicle but were caught by officers.

A 14-year-old and 16-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of poaching, trespassing with intent to search for or to pursue hares with dogs, dangerous driving, failing to stop, and criminal damage.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of poaching, driving dangerously, failing to stop.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who saw the other car, a blue Subaru, to contact them by calling 101 quoting crime reference 26*21819.
