Free school uniform giveaway to support Hull families today
Former pro boxer Tommy Coyle hosts seventh annual charity event
Families in Hull struggling with the cost of school uniforms this year have an opportunity for support through the seventh annual Free School Uniform giveaway.
The event, organised by former Hull boxer Tommy Coyle, will take place today, Thursday 3rd September, at the TC60 Training Club on Humble Street, Hull.
Doors will open at 10am, with the event concluding around 1pm.
Coyle, a proud Hull native and community leader, has been gathering donations of school uniforms in all sizes and colours for the initiative.
The giveaway is designed to aid families facing increasing costs as uniform prices continue to rise.
Local organisations such as Transwage Recycling, Cranswick Foods, Pagabo, MKM, and Hull Golf Club are supporting the event.
Michael Rooms of Hull Golf Club has also contributed significant support as part of the Tomic Hall Foundation's charitable efforts.
Tommy Coyle expressed gratitude for the supporters, acknowledging the bittersweet nature of the day due to the widespread need, but also the ability to assist families through this community-driven programme.
"All year long, we offer free facilities for kids under 17, and the support from my friends in the community allows us to help many families in need this year," Coyle said.
Families needing support, or those who know others who do, are encouraged to visit the TC60 Training Club this weekend to take advantage of the giveaway.
