Police seek witnesses after fatal collision

A 37-year-old man has died following a motorcycle crash on Hull Road, near Aldbrough.

The collision occurred at approximately 7:50pm on Thursday, 30th April 2026.

The rider, travelling south on a multi-coloured BMW S1000RR, reportedly left the road and ended up in a ditch.

Emergency services attended the scene, but the rider was pronounced dead.

His family has been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.

Police are appealing to anyone in the area at the time of the collision for information.

Those with CCTV, dashcam footage, or who witnessed the crash are urged to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, referencing log 489 of 30th April.
