Football enthusiasts in Hull and East Yorkshire have an exciting opportunity this weekend to view the FA Cup trophy up close as it tours local communities.

On Saturday, the acclaimed silverware will be displayed at Marston's Hallgate Tavern in Cottingham from 12:00 to 15:00 BST.

It will then be available for viewing at The Apollo on Holderness Road, Hull, from 16:00 to 19:00.

TNT Sports Supports Regional Trophy Tour

The initiative, supported by TNT Sports, allows fans to appreciate a piece of football history, and capture photographs with the trophy.

Ioannis Grammenos, general manager at the Hallgate Tavern, expressed enthusiasm about the event.

"Being able to bring such an iconic trophy right into the heart of the village is something we're really excited about," Grammenos said.

He noted the opportunity for both seasoned supporters and younger fans experiencing the FA Cup up close for the first time.

Trophy's Journey Across the UK

Prior to its journey in Hull and East Yorkshire, the FA Cup trophy visited Port Vale FC, and is scheduled to stop in Coventry next weekend.

Hull City, who has their best cup performance in 2014, reached the finals before being defeated by Arsenal 3-2 after extra time.
