Essential gas works leads to road closure for six weeks

Essential gas works means a road will be closed in Hull for six weeks.

Work began in Wincolmlee on July 22nd with plastic gas pipes being installed.

The junction at Bankside Park and Aire Street has been closed to traffic and a diversion is in place.

Christopher Keith, Operations Manager for Northern Gas Networks, said: “We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during these essential works. However, it’s vital we complete them in order to continue to maintain a safe and reliable gas supply to local homes and businesses. Our teams are working hard to complete the replacement and reopen the road as quickly as possible.”
