Desperate Plea from Mum as Search for Missing Hull Man Sam Enters Seventh Day
The 24 year old was last seen around Axholme Court on Plimsoll Way at Victoria Dock last Thursday
The mum of a missing man with special needs from Hull is making a desperate plea as the search for her son enters its seventh day.
Twenty-four year old Sam was last seen around Axholme Court on Plimsoll Way at Victoria Dock last Thursday.
His mum Helen says she's been leaving weatherproof notes in the hope that Sam might find one. She says, “I've written on the packages that he needs to tell someone who he is and where he is and that he's not in any trouble, that we love him and just want him back.”
Helen describes Sam as gentle, quiet and funny, who loves his dog and is known for one-liners that make everyone laugh. “He's just lovely and I just want him home,” she said. She is asking anyone who thinks they've seen Sam to ring 101 and log it under number 390 of the sixth of November, and to check doorbell footage.
Chief Inspector Owen Stafford, who is leading the search, says police teams have spent the past four days reviewing CCTV, making house-to-house enquiries, and carrying out targeted searches with specialist officers and the Underwater Search Unit. He says, “We understand how distressing this is for Sam’s family and friends, and we are doing everything we can to try and find him.”
Officers are urging anyone who was in the area of Plimsoll Way and Victoria Dock between 11:45am and 12:45pm last Thursday, and who may have seen Sam or caught him on CCTV or dashcam, to get in touch. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log 390 of the 6th of November.
