Two pedestrians injured after collision on Cottingham Road in Hull
A driver has been arrested on drug-related offences
Two pedestrians were taken to hospital following a collision involving a car on Cottingham Road in Hull yesterday evening (22 January).
Police were called to the scene at around 6.30pm near the junction with Beverley Road, where it was reported that the driver of a Fiat had collided with a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman. Emergency services attended, and both pedestrians were transported to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver, a 34-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug and driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a drug above the specified limit. He has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the time to come forward.
