CCTV image released as investigations continue into fatal Kilham crash

Officers, investigating a fatal crash in Kilham on Saturday, 7 February 2026, have released a CCTV image of the vehicle and continue to appeal for witnesses and information to assist with ongoing enquires.

It was reported that at approximately 7.30pm, the blue Ford S-Max pictured, had travelled south-west along Kilham Lane when it mounted a grass verge at the junction with Burton Road and collided with a tree.

Emergency services were deployed however an occupant of the car, a 31-year-old man, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. His family has been informed and are being supported by specialist trained officers at this time.

A 34-year-old woman, who was also in the vehicle was taken to hospital, for treatment to injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out over the course of the last week to establish the full circumstances around the collision and police are now appealing to anyone who was in the area of Bridlington, between the hours of 6pm and 7pm and may have seen or had some kind of interaction with the blue Ford S-Max prior to the collision.
