Police seize £70,000 worth of drugs after discovering a cannabis grow in Scunthorpe

Enquiries remain ongoing after 130 cannabis plants were found in a property

Humberside Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a cannabis grow at a property on Avenue Vivian in Scunthorpe yesterday (Tuesday, 28 October).

Officers entered the property at around 9:20pm last night after spotting suspected cannabis cultivation equipment through a window and exposed wires on the exterior of the building.

Before police entered the property, 130 cannabis plants, with an estimated value of £71,500, had been reported.

Crime Scene Investigators attended the scene, whilst a scene guard was also present.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward in order to support the investigation to identity those involved.
