Ibrahim Yesildeniz, a 25-year-old man from Bridlington, has been named as the victim of a fatal stabbing incident that occurred on First Avenue earlier this week.

The police were alerted to the situation at approximately 5.20am on Monday, 10th August 2026, following reports of a stabbing.

Ibrahim was transported to the hospital for life-threatening injuries but tragically succumbed to them later.

His family is currently being supported by specially trained officers, and they have requested privacy during this challenging time.

Mehmet Gundez, a 24-year-old from Bridlington, has been charged with murder in connection with Ibrahim's death.

The investigation into Ibrahim's death continues, and further details are anticipated following court proceedings.

Gundez, who identifies as Turkish, has been remanded into custody and is set to appear at Hull Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 12th August 2026.
