Man jailed for sexually abusing three children in Hull
Benjamin Briggs has been sentenced to ten years in prison
A man described as "sadistic" who subjected three young children to sexual abuse in Hull has been jailed for ten years.
40-year-old Benjamin Briggs admitted multiple child sex offences and voyeurism at Hull crown Court of Friday (19th December).
He pleaded guilty to:
- Four counts of sexual assault by penetration on a child under 13
- Three counts of voyeurism
- One count of sexual assault on a child.
Briggs has also been given an indefinite Restraining Order and Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
A Humberside police spokesperson said, "This year, detectives launched an investigation into Briggs following a report of voyeurism in Hull in June 2025.
"Whilst conducting enquiries into this incident, officers received further reports of non-recent child sex offences as well as another separate incident of voyeurism, both naming Briggs as the perpetrator.
"Following this information coming to light, a wider investigation was launched, leading to the re-opening of an investigation from 2018 in which a victim reported child sex offences.
"In October 2025, Briggs was arrested and interviewed about all three allegations. In interview, Briggs claimed he had no recollection of any allegations and denied any sexual interest in children.
"All three victims provided evidence in the case and after a robust investigation, detectives referred the case to the CPS leading him to be charged with all offences and remanded into custody."
