Arrests made after 17 year-old stabbed in Scunthorpe
A number of people have been arrested after a 17 year-old was stabbed in Scunthorpe.
An 18 year-old man has been arrested suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and a 16-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent..
The 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital to receive treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Katie Call said: “Following the report, I can confirm an 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and a 16-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.
“As part of lines of enquiry, the 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of breach of court bail.
“They each remain in police custody at this time and a scene guard was put in place whilst we continued to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, this has now been removed.
“I understand an incident of this nature will be concerning for the local community, however I want to offer my reassurance that we believe this to be an incident between individuals known to each other.
