A 31-year-old man dies after Kilham road collision

Police seek witnesses following a car crash in the East Riding of Yorkshire

A 31-year-old man lost his life after a car crash on Kilham Lane in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The collision occurred on Saturday, 7th February 2026, when a blue Ford S-Max mounted a grass verge and hit a tree at the junction with Burton Road.

Efforts by emergency services were unable to save the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family has been notified and is receiving support from specially trained officers.

Another occupant of the car, a 34-year-old woman, sustained injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment, though her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police are calling on anyone in the area around the time of the crash or people with CCTV or dashcam footage that could aid their investigation.
