Thousands head to Derbyshire as sold-out Y Not Festival gets underway
Two Door Cinema Club, The Reytons, and The Libertines have been announced as the headline acts
Tens of thousands are expected to head to the Derbyshire Dales this weekend for a sold-out Y Not Festival.
Organisers are promising the four-day event will be bigger than ever as music lovers make their way to Pikehall from 30th July 2026.
Who is performing at Y Not Festival?
The Reytons, Two Door Cinema Club and The Streets are headlining the festival with The Libertines also announced for Thursday night.
Other acts include Kaiser Chiefs, Scissor Sisters and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. The event is back for it's 19th year, promising also to champion music local to the East Midlands.
The main gates open at 12pm on Thursday 30th July for those with early entry and 9am on Friday 31st July for those with weekend tickets.
Former X Factor contestant, Lucy Spraggan, grew up in Buxton and will return to Derbyshire to perform on Saturday. She told us: "I have been performing there for more than 15 years.
"Each year has a different magic to it, and I can feel that as a performer too. We have a full band for Y Not.
"We want to make an up-beat, fun festival vibe so that people walking past stop and come and join," she said.
Alongside the music tents and the main stage, Y Not festival promises to be about more than just tunes.
The Nighthawk Cinema will play blockbuster films all day, every day. There are also fairground rides, from dodgems, to the Ferris wheel and Helter Skelter.
For the first time, Y Not are holding their own 'Fun Run'. The route on Saturday takes you through the Derbyshire countryside. The 'Strawberry Fields' area is dedicated for family fun so that there is space for every festival goer at Y Not this weekend.
