Leicester father pays tribute to "giggly" little boy after pair charged with murder
A father from Leicester has paid tribute to his "giggly" little boy after a man and a woman were charged with his murder.
The father of a little boy who died in Leicester has paid tribute, saying he "put a smile on everyone's face", after two people were charged with his murder.
Tobias-John Doyle died at just 21 months old on 2 December 2023.
It followed an incident at an address on Mulberry Avenue on 29 November.
His father, Simon Doyle, said: “Tobias was my best friend. He was a giggly, happy little boy who put a smile on everyone’s face. He had the most beautiful chubby cheeks and curly hair and he absolutely loved dinosaurs. We love him and miss him so much.”
Omiel Gordon, 35, of Butterwick Drive, Leicester, and Shalom Morgan, 23, of Morledge Street, Leicester, have both been charged with the murder of Tobias-John Doyle.
They have also both been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child and with child cruelty.
They both appeared at Leicester Magistrates Court yesterday (27 April) where they were remanded into custody to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Wednesday (29 April).
