Man arrested after 20-year-old suffers life-changing injuries in Derby stabbing

A man has been arrested after a 20-year-old suffered life-changing injuries in a stabbing in Normanton, in Derby.
It happened outside a home on Pear Tree Crescent just after 12:25am this morning (20th August).
The victim was taken to hospital with his injuries that have been described by emergency services as life-changing.
A 20-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody.
Derbyshire Police said they are treating this as an isolated incident, and believe he victim was known to the person who carried out the attack.
