Police appeal after teenager stabbed in Sneinton
The boy's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering
Detectives are investigating a stabbing incident that took place in Sneinton.
They say police were alerted to reports of an attack on Carlton Road, close to King Edward Park last night (26/6).
A group of youths reportedly assaulted a 16-year-old boy, resulting in multiple stab wounds.
The boy was promptly taken to hospital, and he is expected to recover as his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
In the wake of the attack, Carlton Road was temporarily closed at intersections with Dakeyne Street, Handel Street, and Alfred Street South for investigation purposes.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to come forward as detectives continue their inquiries.
Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Ed Cook of Nottinghamshire Police emphasised the seriousness of the incident.
He said: "As you would expect, we are treating this incident extremely seriously.
"An investigation is currently ongoing, as we look to determine exactly what happened and seek to find those responsible for this assault.
“On that note, I would urge anyone with information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, to please come forward and to speak to us.
“We would particularly like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage whilst in the area."
