Police issue picture appeal after £5,500 theft from Nottingham shop
Images released of duo wanted for questioning in high-value shoplifting
Nottinghamshire Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying two individuals involved in a high-value theft from Boots, located at Riverside Retail Park in Nottingham. The incident saw more than £5,500 worth of goods stolen from the store.
On 17th April, a man and woman reportedly entered the shop on Electric Avenue at around 7.40pm and proceeded to fill bags and backpacks with perfume, cosmetic, and health products. Rather than paying for the items, they exited without offering payment.
Call for assistance
Police have been investigating since the crime was reported, and they have now released images of the individuals they wish to speak to in connection with the theft.
PC Logan Grieh of Nottinghamshire Police commented on the nature of the crime, emphasizing the impact on both the affected business and honest shoppers and urging the duo to come forward.
The appeal is extended to anyone who may recognize them. Information can be reported directly to police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 26000286201. An anonymous tip can be submitted through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
With the public's help, Nottinghamshire Police aim to identify those responsible and secure justice for the affected business, while preventing future offences in the community.
