The victim needed stitches for a cut to his head
Two men have been jailed for attacking a man outside a nightclub in Nottingham.
A man in his 20s suffered a serious head injury when he was punched and stamped on by a group of men on St James' Street on 5th May 2025.
CCTV captured Jaden Walters handing a knife to Alfie Seagrave when they left the nightclub at around 4am. The weapon was not used in the assault.
Jayden Gunter and Kiarne McLeary were also identified as the attackers via CCTV footage.
They all appeared in court on Friday 16th January and pleaded guilty to committing grievous bodily harm without intent.
20-year-old Jayden Gunter, of Shanwell Close, Nottingham was jailed for 16 months and 2 weeks.
21-year-old Alfie Seagrave was sentenced to 2 years and 3 months in prison, after also admitting possession of a knife in a public place.
24-year-old Kiarne McLeary of Beechdale Road, Nottingham and 22-year-old Jaden Walters of Moorfield Court, Stapleford will be sentenced at a later date.
Walters has also pleaded guilty to possession of a knife in a public place.
Detective Constable Michael Love, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We were determined to get justice for the victim of this extremely unpleasant and unprovoked attack.
“Violent behaviour like this has no place in our nighttime economy and will always be met with a robust response.
“The knife which was seen being brandished by members of the group was not used in the assault.
“However, carrying a weapon like this around is a very serious offence.
“A detailed and thorough investigation by detectives, with the support of the nightclub staff, has allowed us to bring these four men to justice.”
