Missing paraglider found safe and well in Belper

Concerns were raised after reports of difficulty near Crich Lane Woods

A missing paraglider has been located safe and well following a search in Derbyshire.

An appeal was launched at around 8pm last night following a report from a member of the public expressing concern for the safety of a paraglider who was allegedly struggling above Crich Lane Woods, in Belper.

A search, involving Derbyshire Police, the National Police Air Service, and the mountain rescue service, was carried out.

A member of the public then came forward to identify themselves as the missing paraglider.

Police have thanked the public for their help with the appeal.
