Man arrested after serious sexual assault in Nottingham park
A 52-year-old man has been arrested after a woman was seriously sexually assaulted in Nottingham.
Officers were called to the Forest Recreation Ground on the evening of Monday 19 January, where they found the victim, in her 30s, in distress.
The man was detained on suspicion of rape, and assault occasioning bodily harm.
Detective Inspector Ed Cook, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Public Protection Unit, said:
“I recognise that this incident may have caused concern for members of the public and we have been working tirelessly to investigate this incident.
“We continue to maintain a visible presence in the area. Please speak with us if you have any concerns.
“If you witnessed anything in the area or have relevant dashcam footage from Monday evening, I would urge you to report it to us.”
