Man arrested after a stabbing in Radford
It happened on Monday Night on St Peter's Street
A suspect has been arrested after a man was stabbed outside a Radford address.
Emergency services attended St Peter's Street, after members of the public found an injured man there.
He was treated for stab wounds to his chest and back, having reportedly been attacked outside a house in Brixton Road.
The man sustained injuries not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-altering in the assault, which happened around 11.50pm on Monday (10 August).
Having conducted inquiries locally, officers managed to identify and detain a suspect – who is known to the victim – nearby just over two hours later.
The 28-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing Class A drugs.
Detective Sergeant Rob Palethorpe, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
"We hope news of this arrest will provide some reassurance to the local community, who will no doubt have been alarmed to hear about this attack.
"Both the victim and the suspect are known to each other, so we strongly believe this to have been an isolated incident that poses no risk to the wider community.
"Our thoughts remain with the man injured during this attack."
