Four more arrests made in London Road murder investigation
Detectives have arrested four additional individuals in connection to a murder investigation following a stabbing in Leicester’s London Road.
Two 52-year-old men and two 43-year-old women were taken into custody last night on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Yesterday, six men were arrested on suspicion of murder and they remain in custody.
The arrests come after police discovered a seriously injured man shortly after 10.45 pm on Wednesday in London Road, near Saxby Street.
The man, in his 20s, had sustained significant injuries to his chest and stomach and passed away early Thursday morning.
Detectives believe the incident occurred in De Montfort Place.
A post-mortem examination confirmed the man suffered multiple injuries, including three stab wounds.
Detective Inspector Lorna Granville from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit Major Crime Team expressed gratitude to the community for their assistance.
The detective emphasised the importance of any information related to the case, especially from those who were driving in the area between 10.30 pm and 11 pm on Wednesday night.
