Increased police presence after arson attack at a house in Langley Mill

An increased police presence has been put in place following an arson attack at a house in Langley Mill.
The incident took place in Minkley Drive at around 2.45am today (13 May) and saw two men set fire to a car. Nobody was physically hurt; however, two properties were damaged.
The incident is understood to have been targeted and there is no wider risk to the public, however, an increased police presence will be seen in the area and anyone with concerns is urged to speak to officers.
The two men, who were wearing dark clothing with hooded tops, entered the street from Cromford Road – and then were seen leaving back onto Cromford Road and running off into an alley that leads onto Argyle Street.
Police are very keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time – in particular anyone with CCTV from Cromford Road or Argyle Street – as well as anyone with dashcam footage from the area.
