Four men face charges over Ilkeston kidnap and assault
Charges include kidnap and assault offences
Four men have been charged in connection with the kidnap of a man in Ilkeston.
The incident occurred on Bridge Street on Thursday, 30th July, involving a man in his 20s who was forcibly taken against his will.
The victim has been safely located.
The men charged with kidnap and assault causing actual bodily harm are Kien Rigley, 23, from Barlborough Road, Ilkeston; Kainan Wilson, 21, of Market Street, Ironville, Nottinghamshire; Zabed Miah, 24, of Wilton Street, Ilkeston; and Lewis Birks-Iacovitti, 24, of Rossell Drive, Stapleford, Nottinghamshire.
Additionally, Kainan Wilson faces charges related to possession of a knife in a public place, and Zabed Miah is facing a separate charge of assault causing actual bodily harm from an incident on Friday, 17th July.
All four appeared before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 1st August and have been remanded into custody.
They are expected to appear before Derby Crown Court on Friday, 28th August.
