Police seek witnesses
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a motorcycle collision involving a pedestrian in Groby earlier this month.
Police attended the scene on Ratby Road, near the junction with Oaktree Close, shortly after 2:20pm on 4th June.
The incident involved a black Yamaha motorcycle which reportedly collided with a woman in her 90s before leaving the area.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment and has been discharged.
The arrested man was released under investigation following his detention on 25th June, as inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
Detective Constable Charlotte Wright, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“While someone’s been arrested in connection with this incident, I’m still appealing for anyone who can help but has not yet spoken to us to come forward.”
“In particular, I’d like to speak to anyone who saw the motorcycle beforehand or witnessed the collision occur. I’d also extend this appeal to anyone with dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage.”
