18 year old charged over firearms discharge in Glen Parva

A police investigation has lead to multiple arrests and charges

A second man has been charged in connection with a firearms incident in Glen Parva.

Police were called to an incident on Hewes Close on 6th March at around 8:40 pm, after a shot was fired outside a home. No one was hurt.

Sam Comer, aged 18 from Stanwood Gardens, Whiston, Prescot, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.

He faces additional drug-related charges, including involvement in the supply of class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine), possession with intent to supply class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine), possession of class B drugs (cannabis), and possession of criminal property.

Comer has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court later today.

Police have also arrested eight other people on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

These arrests include six men aged between 21 and 44 and two women aged 21 and 51.

All have been released on police bail as investigations continue.

Detective Chief Inspector Tom Allard of the Complex Investigation Team emphasised the ongoing nature of the investigation, urging anyone with information to come forward.

Aaron Flusk, 25, of The Crescent, Whiston, Prescot, was previously charged with conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He remains in custody and is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court in May.
