32 year old Orinta Narbutaite was found in Milton a week ago
The family of a woman whose death sparked a murder investigation have paid tribute to a “devoted and loving mother”.
Orinta Narbutaite was found dead in Main Street, Milton, at 3.12am on Friday morning (20 March).
A week on from the discovery, Orinta’s family have released a statement paying tribute to the 32-year-old.
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Orinta Narbutaite, a cherished member of our community whose kindness, dignity, and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
“Orinta will be remembered not only for her compassionate nature and quiet strength, but also for the genuine care and respect she showed to others. She had a remarkable ability to offer comfort and support, and her presence brought a sense of calm and reassurance to those around her.
“Above all, Orinta was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, whom she cherished deeply. Her love, guidance, and dedication as a parent will remain a lasting part of her legacy.
“Orinta Narbutaite will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.”
A murder investigation was launched following the discovery, and Donatas Noreika, of Main Street, Milton, and Arturas Karvelis, of Broad Street, Parkgate, Rotherham - who is also known within the community as Arturas Bockus - were charged with conspiring to prevent the lawful and decent burial of a body.
Noreika, aged 37, and Karvelis, aged 45, have since been remanded in custody and are next due to appear in Nottingham Crown Court on 20 April.
Detective Inspector Matt Scott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Our thoughts remain with Orinta’s family and friends, who have asked for privacy at what must be an extremely difficult time.
“We are aware of speculation online following unverified information being shared.
“As the investigation progresses, please refer to updates issued on behalf of the force.”
