Ram raid in Oakham leaves shop damaged and without ATM
Officers say thieves dragged out an ATM with a 4x4 pickup truck
Detectives are searching for thieves who reportedly tore out a cash machine and left a store badly damaged in Oakham.
Police say a telehandler was used to drive into the front of a shop in Braunston Road at around 2.50am this morning (3 July).
An ATM was allegedly removed and dragged away by a 4x4 pickup truck, leaving the building with significant damage.
Officers say the truck drove off towards Balmoral Road.
A scene guard remains in place as investigations continue.
Leicestershire Police have not yet made any arrests but are appealing for witnesses and footage.
