Suspect charged with attempted murder after woman found injured

A man with attempted murder after a woman was found injured in Sneinton, Nottinghamshire.
Police were called to Lichfield Road at 6.22am on Saturday (2 May) after reports a woman in her 50s had been assaulted.
The victim’s injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
Simon Moon, aged 63, of Lichfield Road, Sneinton, has been charged with attempted murder.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 4 May) and was remanded in custody until he next appears at Nottingham Crown Court on 1 June 2026.
A 35-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent following the incident.
She has since been released on conditional bail.
