Police have released images in their search for a man linked to a recent break-in at a building site near Sneinton Market.

The incident occurred over the early May Bank Holiday weekend, between the 1st and 4th May.

A window was reportedly smashed to gain entry, with tools valued at around £3,000 stolen from the site on Bath Street.

Investigating officer PC Ben Cunningham has reviewed CCTV footage, identifying a man wheeling a large bin along the street near the break-in.

Police believe speaking with the man is crucial, and despite the poor quality of the images, officers hope he recognises himself and contacts them.

PC Cunningham said, "It is important we speak to the man as part of our inquiries into this report."

He added, "Equally, if you think you know who he is from his clothing or footwear, please get in touch."

Anyone with information regarding the suspect is urged to call 101 and quote the reference number 26*257498.
